| A Hazard Awareness Open House was held on Thursday, March 10, 2005, at the Quality Inn, Bradley. The Open House featured exhibitors, displays, and demonstrations on various ways to reduce the public's vulnerability to natural hazards. The Open House also featured an explaination of the Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan initiated by the County. Attendees were also invited to share their personal experiences with natural hazards such as flooding, tornadoes, hail and wind damage, etc. The Kankakee County Planning Department would like to give a special THANK YOU to the exhibitors and everyone that was able to attend this event. |
