IEPA Delegation Agreement Complaints

 

As an Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) delegated agent, the Kankakee County Planning Department, Solid Waste & Environmental Division, has the authority to enforce the IEPA solid waste regulations. This authority allows inspectors to inspect and enforce the cleanup of illegal open dump sites, open burning sites, waste burial sites, and other citizen complaints regarding land, air, and water pollution.

If you would like to register a complaint with this office, please fill out the Delegation Agreement Complaint Form (below). Please provide as much information as possible, including detailed directions to the site or a site address. It is always helpful if citizens are able to provide license plate numbers, vehicle descriptions, photos, etc. of what they have observed, if possible.
