SHOW BUS provides rural transit service through a contract with Kankakee County throughout Kankakee County. The definition of rural transit service is a trip that has at least one end of the trip in the rural area, outside the Kankakee Urbanized Area. In general, that means that one or both ends of the main trip must be made outside Aroma Park, Bourbonnais, Bradley or Kankakee.
SHOW BUS publishes a Riders’ Guide that gives general rules for rural transit service, along with some answers to frequently asked questions about that service. SHOW BUS also publishes a Regular Route Schedule for rural transit service, stating which days of the week each community in Kankakee County can expect that service. Calls need to be made to the SHOW BUS number 800-525-2454 to reserve a seat for that service.
SHOW BUS provides transit service between downtown Momence and downtown Kankakee on an hourly schedule. The publication that discusses this service is Momence Service. Again, questions about this service can be answered through the SHOW BUS number – 800-525-2454.
If there are general questions about rural transit service, or if you would like to make suggestions for service, please contact Geoffrey Olson. Thank you.
